Toni Venza
Toni has been riding as long as she can remember and has been training developing riders for almost thirty years. Her strengths as a trainer are her ability to communicate clearly with both children and adults, her understanding of various learning styles, the manner in which she offers corrections without criticism, and her extensive experience with hunter-jumper competition and horsemanship.
Growing up and riding in Carmel Valley, Toni’s love of horses blossomed. She rode every day, working at the barn to pay for her lessons and board. This strong work ethic brought her success in competition and is part of what she teaches her students today. Toni competed in hunter-jumper horseshows throughout California and was awarded various honors.
Over the years, Toni’s students have also achieved success in the show ring. They have qualified for the Northern Califonia Medal Finals, the PCHA Medal Finals, the Onondarka Medal Finals, the CPHA Junior Medal Finals, the Pickwick Medal Finals, the ASPCA Maclay Finals, and the USEF Medal Finals. Her students frequently place in the top of their classes and boast championships in equitation, hunters, the NorCal Pony Medal Finals, and the Hudson and Company Medal Finals.
In addition to training riders for competition, Toni works with students with learning and physical disabilities. Her calm and humorous demeanor puts even the most anxious students at ease. Essential lessons learned working with horses include trunk strength, language therapy, social development, and physical coordination, all of which are useful in having a successful day-to-day life. Toni welcomes you to come meet the Toni Venza Training family and find out more about how your family can be part of ours.
